The Research Institute for Environment, Energy and Economics (RIEEE) at Appalachian State University works to connect, support and amplify research throughout App State on the environment, energy, economics, and the equity that must underpin them in sustainable solutions to complex problems. We increase research capacity and impact and lead in strategic priority areas of sustainability research.

VX Aerospace Corporation is a dynamic advanced composites manufacturing and design company. Flexibility and lean manufacturing are hallmarks of their production process. VX assisted the team with building the carbon fiber body of ROSE.

Appalachian State University’s College of Fine and Applied Arts is a dynamic and innovative group of academic departments including Applied Design, Art, Communication, Military Science and Leadership, Sustainable Development, Sustainable Technology and the Built Environment, and Theatre and Dance.

Since 1985, Altium has been developing, creating and selling electronic design tools (software and hardware) that help electronics designers harness the latest devices and technologies, manage their projects across broad design ‘ecosystems’, and create connected, intelligent designs.

The Steeby Solarcar Scholarship was started in the Fall of 2017 and has since awarded over 15 scholarships to students of the Appalachian State Solar Vehicle Team.
